On the turn of the new millennium, six gentlemen dedicated in unifying and integrating the Asian community as a whole decided to establish a bond of brotherhood that would stand the test of time. They sought to create a brotherhood that would not only strengthen the bonds of the gentlemen in the fraternity but to be the main integrators and leaders that would define unity in the Asian community on campus.
Regardless of the letters they wore on their chests, what organization they were in, or even their national origin, the founders set the example that "labels" mean nothing and that unity is the ultimate beginning of brotherhood. With the growing need of Asian-American leaders at Northern Illinois University, a new breed of Gentlemen was established on March 16, 2000.
The formation of the fraternity gave all males on campus a window of opportunity to excel in leadership, service, time management, social interaction, brotherhood, gentleman etiquette, Asian/cultural awareness, and most importantly, academic excellence. With each member that becomes a brother, he exudes the principles and ethics of the founding fathers and carries it on to his future brothers and the community.
